Online sharing session regarding the development of sustainable rural tourism in Asia which was held on May 28 2024 at 20.00 – 22.00 WITA via the Zoom Online Conference Platform. This activity was attended by the Head of the study program and D3 Tourism lecturers at Mataram University as well as the Dean and Lecturers of the School of History, Geography and Tourism, Shangrao Normal University.
The sharing session presented academic trends regarding the theme of rural and sustainable tourism in development in the Asian region more specifically in Indonesia and China Perspective. The implementation of community-based tourism must involve active community participation to realize sustainable rural development. Therefore, the government must focus on tourism-related strategies that emphasize maximizing the benefits of tourism, which includes efforts to preserve ecosystems carefully and responsibly.
In fact, it is closely linked to a holistic sustainable approach that includes the interrelation among different forms of tourism taking place in a certain rural area. Hence, the development of rural tourism is the harmonious development of different tourism forms in rural areas on the basis of harnessing the strengths of tourism resources of a certain rural countryside👐
