The National Seminar with the title Preserving cultural heritage through tourism and the creative economy was held by classes A and E Semester 2 of the D3 Tourism Study Program, Mataram University and was the output of the mice management course. This seminar was attended by 2 speakers, namely Mr. I Nengah Gusia who is a Jafung Functional Intermediate Expert Planner and Mrs. Nurmala Lia Hidayati who is the Owner of PT. Bale Rattan Lombok.
Creative economy Overall, the creative economy has great potential to make a positive contribution to the economic, social and cultural growth of a country. Apart from that, it can also be a means of strengthening the cultural identity of a region or country. By promoting cultural heritage through creative products, the creative economy can help preserve traditions and strengthen a sense of pride in local culture. This provides opportunities for creative economy players to reach global markets and increase the visibility of their creative products.
The tourism development policy for the development of the creative economy is to occupy between the tourism sector and the creative economy which has great potential in developing a sustainable economy. Apart from that, it also utilizes the richness of culture, art and creativity as well as improving the country’s sustainable tourism infrastructure in order to increase the income of local communities and expand the overall economic outlook.
